lodowe smoki

Ostatnio przeglądam sobie różne dziwne teorie i moją uwagę przykuły nietoperze:

A Dance with Dragons - Bran III:

As a raven he flew with the murder, circling the hill at sunset, watching for foes, feeling the icy touch of the air. As Hodor he explored the caves. He found chambers full of bones, shafts that plunged deep into the earth, a place where the skeletons of gigantic bats hung upside down from the ceiling. He even crossed the slender stone bridge that arched over the abyss and discovered more passages and chambers on the far side.

Niby nic, takie tam szkielety gigantycznych batmanów w jaskini dzieci lasu. Ale pogrzebałam dalej i znalazłam nawiązanie do smoków.

A Game of Thrones - Daenerys IX:

"Monstrous," Mirri Maz Duur finished for him. The knight was a powerful man, yet Dany understood in that moment that the maegi was stronger, and crueler, and infinitely more dangerous. "Twisted. I drew him forth myself. He was scaled like a lizard, blind, with the stub of a tail and small leather wings like the wings of a bat. When I touched him, the flesh sloughed off the bone, and inside he was full of graveworms and the stink of corruption. He had been dead for years."

Dziecko Dany ze skrzydłami jak u nietoperza.

A Clash of Kings - Arya IX:

When her arm grew weary, she sat with her legs over a high limb to catch her breath in the cool dark air, listening to the squeak of bats as they hunted.

Nietoperze polujące w ciemnym, zimnym powietrzu.

A Storm of Swords - Daenerys II:

She had a woman's face, with gilded hair, ivory eyes, and pointed ivory teeth. Water gushed yellow from her heavy breasts. But in place of arms she had the wings of a bat or a dragon, her legs were the legs of an eagle, and behind she wore a scorpion's curled and venomous tail.

Posąg harpii, ze skrzydłami takimi jak u smoka lub nietoperza.

A Storm of Swords - Arya XIII:

"I forgot, you've been hiding under a rock. The northern girl. Winterfell's daughter. We heard she killed the king with a spell, and afterward changed into a wolf with big leather wings like a bat, and flew out a tower window. But she left the dwarf behind and Cersei means to have his head."
That's stupid, Arya thought. Sansa only knows songs, not spells, and she'd never marry the Imp.

Wilk ze skrzydłami nietoperza!

Jest jeszcze opowieść o nietoperzach porywających dzieci dla szalonej Danielle Lothston.

A Dance with Dragons - Daenerys VIII:

The dragons craned their necks around, gazing at them with burning eyes. Viserion had shattered one chain and melted the others. He clung to the roof of the pit like some huge white bat, his claws dug deep into the burnt and crumbling bricks. Rhaegal, still chained, was gnawing on the carcass of a bull.

Viserion jak biały nietoperz!

W Sothorys oprócz wiwern mamy wampiry-nietoperze. A podobno pod Casterly Rock:

The World of Ice and Fire:

The Rock has been a habitation for men for thousands of years. Before the coming of the First Men it seems likely that the children of the forest and giants made their homes in the great sea-carved caverns at its base. Bears, lions, wolves, and bats have also been known to make their lairs within, along with countless lesser creatures.

A gdyby te szkielety nietoperzy w jaskini dzieci lasu okazały się lodowymi smokami, to ja bym się nie pogniewała!
